Learning Outcomes

What you'll learn

You will be able to open Microsoft 365 Copilot inside Outlook and produce a professional, context-aware candidate rejection email in under 3 minutes without pasting any employee data outside your company's Microsoft tenant
You will be able to upload a 20-page PDF to Claude.ai and extract a structured summary with key decisions, open questions, and action items using a single well-constructed prompt
You will be able to use ChatGPT GPT-4o to generate a first-draft marketing campaign brief or operations process document that requires only light editing before sharing with a manager
You will be able to identify, without guessing, which of the four tools — ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or Gemini — is appropriate for any given task based on data sensitivity, document length, output format, and tool availability — and explain that choice to a colleague or compliance officer
You will be able to catch and correct the three most common AI output failures — false specificity, missing context, and tone mismatch — before sending or submitting any AI-assisted document

The day after you finish

The day after completing this course, you will open Microsoft 365 Copilot in Outlook to draft a policy update email to staff, switch to Claude.ai to summarize a vendor contract you received as a PDF, and use your personal prompt library to do both tasks in under 10 minutes combined — without asking IT for help, without pasting any sensitive data into an unapproved tool, and without sending anything you'd be embarrassed to have your manager read.

Who this is for

  • Primary: Business professionals (HR Coordinator, Finance Analyst, Marketing Manager, Operations Specialist) with 2–6 years of experience who spend 40%+ of their week on manual writing, summarizing, and formatting tasks and have little to no AI tool experience
  • Secondary: Mid-managers and team leads who need to evaluate AI tool adoption for their teams and want hands-on familiarity before making recommendations
  • Tertiary: Executive Assistants, Chiefs of Staff, and project coordinators who produce high volumes of written output daily and need a faster, policy-compliant drafting workflow

Prerequisites

  • Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, or Excel at a basic level — open a file, write an email, read a spreadsheet
  • Access to at least one of: Microsoft 365 Copilot (company-licensed), ChatGPT.com account (free or Plus), Claude.ai account (free or Pro), or Google Gemini Advanced — specific setup instructions provided in Module 1

Capstone Project

Personal AI Workflow Kit: Prompt Library and Tool-Selection Flowchart

Using everything built across Modules 1–5, the learner assembles a complete, role-specific AI Workflow Kit inside a Microsoft Word or Google Doc template provided in the course. The kit contains: (1) a curated prompt library of 12–15 tested prompts indexed by task type (email drafting, document summarization, report generation, brainstorming, policy drafting) and by tool (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Gemini), with the actual output produced during course exercises attached as evidence; (2) a one-page tool-selection flowchart built in the learner's own words that routes any incoming task through four decision gates — data sensitivity, document length, output format, and tool availability — to a specific tool recommendation; and (3) a two-paragraph 'AI Usage Statement' the learner could share with their manager or compliance officer explaining which tools they use, for what tasks, and how they ensure data policy compliance. All three components are produced using AI tools themselves — the prompt library is formatted and indexed using Copilot in Word, the flowchart logic is drafted using ChatGPT, and the usage statement is refined using Claude.

What you'll deliver

A complete, named, role-specific AI Workflow Kit document (Word or Google Doc) containing a 12–15 prompt library indexed by task and tool, a one-page tool-selection decision flowchart, and a two-paragraph policy-compliant AI Usage Statement — all produced using the four tools taught in the course, with actual AI-generated outputs attached as before/after evidence
